When Planning a Build

There can be an overwhelming amount of things on your to do list. We are here to help you with the process and take some of the guesswork out of when and what to order for you window and door needs

When should I start inquiring about windows?

When planning a build it is best to talk windows as early as possible. We often work with architects and designers to ensure we can make their vision into a reality. Because windows are part of the overall structure of the home it’s important to have them already figured out in the plans. That being said, If you already have the plans drawn up we can still help with your window needs.

I have a set of plans, what's next?

If you already have your plans drawn up please inquire about it to our email at info@hendersonanddaughter.com, from there we will connect you with someone in our Builders’ Division who then can go over the blueprints with you and discuss windows and doors. We can work with the homeowner and/or the contractor.

What are your payment options?

We offer several flexible payment terms. Customers may choose to pay in full in advance, or provide a 50% deposit with the remaining balance due before delivery or at the time of will-call pickup. We also extend NET 10 and NET 30 terms for clients with approved credit.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery fees vary based on the distance to the delivery location and the quantity of items being delivered.

What areas do you deliver to?

We provide delivery throughout the Portland-Vancouver metropolitan area. For projects located outside these areas, please contact us— we are often able to accommodate special delivery requests.

Do you provide measurement services for windows and doors?

We are happy to work with you and your contractor and/or installer to be sure the proper-sized windows and doors are ordered for your project. For new construction, a job walk is standard practice. We will meet on site to confirm rough openings, window operations/handings, and verify requirements are met for local building codes.

I’m a contractor—can my clients view products in person?

Absolutely. We have expanded our showroom to better support you and your clients in the selection process. We welcome you to visit and explore our product offerings. To ensure the best experience, appointments are required in advance so we can connect you with a member of our builder division who can assist both in the showroom and with your project.

Do you offer installation services?

Each project is unique and sometimes requires our assistance for installation. Please inquire with your sales rep for more details.

I’m a contractor. Is a warranty available to the homeowners if I’m purchasing?

As a contractor, you can purchase products on behalf of a homeowner, and the product warranty can still be issued in the homeowner’s name, provided it is registered to their home address. However, if the installation was not performed by our team, installation-related issues would not be covered.

What happens if service issues arise?

We are happy to assist in coordinating and submitting a service request. Your sales rep can help guide you through the process to be sure the proper steps are followed.

Seamless Project Coordination

We can meet in our showroom or the job site to go over the house plans and do a take-off for the windows and exterior doors. When the framing is complete we can go to the job site and measure the rough openings to confirm all the sizes with the window & door list. After the windows are ordered we will call you to let you know which day to expect delivery of your new windows and/or doors. If you like, we will call you the day before they are delivered and tell you the approximate time of day they will arrive.
